Great imagery and placement of words used together in phrases. Every poem tells a story and regardless if you understand the story or not you can feel every emotion. Great work!

I love this book! The poem about the Fourth of July (my interpretation), is an amazing use of the english language to take you on a ride of emotion that you will remember always. This author has a commanding understanding of how to use words to bring thoughts, and memories you have to the forefront of you mind when reading this book. I would have liked to seen a contents page, and a page about the author. But that small part aside, I was very pleased with the price (is worth more in my opinion), the contents of the book, and the journey the author took me on. This is a very good read. Great job to the author. Please brings us more of your work.

I purchased this poem recently and I found that the author illustrated his words in a way that anyone with moderate intelligence could visually understand. The storyline is unique and powerful!! The Porcelain Hourglass challenged my thought process and its originality is refreshing to read. I cannot stand it when authors try to be too esoteric in their stories. Mr. Powell captures the attention of his intended demographic. The Porcelain Hourglass poem is certainly qualified for an extensive scholarly review.
